Nearly Spring…

I am loving the lighter mornings and evenings. Doesn’t it make such a difference coming into work when it’s lighter? Definitely feels like there are more hours in the day! Our Lancashire office has recently undergone a refurbishment so all three North West offices are looking great. The lick of paint has given us all a spring in our step – a change is as good as a rest and all that!

So much is happening at Building Careers UK this month and we are setting ourselves up for an extremely successful new financial year. With two more months left till the end of our financial year, all hands are on deck to secure those client and candidate relationships for another 12 months, with lots of events and surprises in the pipeline!

More exciting news to share this month as in February we welcomed the 3rd BCUK baby Oliver! Massive congratulations to Natalie and Mark, and we all look forward to meeting him. With more BCUK babies on the way, perhaps we’ll be able to create the next generation of great recruiters…

We are also delighted to announce the promotions of four of our team to Consultant level. All four employees have shown tremendous drive and passion to succeed and have been building solid relationships with their customer base within a short period of time. Congratulations to Jonathan Kirby, Elle Mackie, Chantalle Wigfield and Sarah Kennedy. Keep up the good work and we’ll toast to your successes next Thursday!

It’s National Apprenticeship Week and here at Building Careers UK we have been engaging with apprentices for the past three years, encouraging the right people to join and develop within our teams. We currently have three apprentices working for us that are extremely valuable to the growth and success of the business. Our plans this year will be to recruit an additional two apprentices to join us in Manchester. Here is what 3 of our current/recent apprentices have to say about working at BCUK…

“I enjoy going into work because the team is great. We work hard but it’s a laugh too and the business really looks after me.” – Sean Jones, Trades and Labour Resourcer

“You get rewarded for your hard work whether it’s with promotions or incentives. I know how to hit my targets and progress more because there’s always support and guidance available” – Naomi Heron, Senior Resourcer

“No day is the same in this office! The best parts of the job are the people I work with and that you can always learn more with the extra support you can get ” - Louise Hayden-Hughes, Administrative Support
