Accounts/Operations Manager

Skelmersdale

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts/Office Manager for one of our clients based in Skelmersdale.

Manage all aspects of Office Administration including Sales Office functions and Management Account reporting with a focus on assessing general office procedures to improve efficiency and ensure smooth implementation of a new ERP system. Also to oversee a small team in a busy sales office producing quotations and processing orders for UK and Export markets across a range of electrical cable accessory products.

Duties involved:

- All Book-keeping and accounts functions including Bank reconciliation, VAT and PAYE using Sage 50
- Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Management Accounts and Group Financial Reports.
- Assess and Improve Sales Office Procedures, Structures and Efficiency where necessary
- Manage Customer and Supplier contracts, Records and Price files.
- Oversee implementation of new ERP system and act as first line of communication with Software company
- Maintain HR records contracts and Payroll.
- Handle sales enquiries by phone and email and produce customer quotations
- Create and maintain Customer Price Files
- Manage Credit Control with HSBC/Factoring
- Assist MD with preparation of Budgets, Forecasting and Group Targets
- Ensure compliance to H&S regulations and handle company insurance policies
- Place Supplier Orders and ensure delivery promises are met
- Manage IT resources and shared access
- Establish and manage customer/prospect database and ensure regulation compliance
- Manage UK and export carriers and documentation

Key Skills:

- Qualified and experienced to handle company accounts function
- Exceptional Administration skills and experience in similar role
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate small, experienced internal sales team
- Strong Customer and Sales Focus
- Proficient in IT and familiar with MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc. (Sage experience useful)
- Attention to detail and able to thrive in fast paced environment

Full time position Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

Salary £35,000
