Job Description

My client are a highly successful Regional Contractor based in the North West. They specialise in new build and refurbishment projects up to £20m across multiple sectors. Due to continued expansion within the business, they currently have an opening for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their already strong commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to progress their career with a well established construction company.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be site based on Projects throughout the North West and will support a Senior QS on all commercial requirements. The initial project is likely to be an £8m school in the South Lakes so candidates will need to live within travelling distance of South Cumbria

Duties will include:

* Procurement of sub-contractors
* Place orders and contracts with sub-contractors
* Assist in the preparation of monthly costs reports
* Manage all sub-contractor payments
* Agree final accounts with sub-contractors
* Attend client meetings

The position will ideally suit someone with 2 - 3 years post graduate experience working for a Main Building Contractor who is looking to widen their experience and establish themselves within a leading contractor. My client will also consider day release applicants who have at least 3 years Main Contracting experience
