Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Site Manager (Top National House Builder)
Location: Cheshire
Salary: £40,000 + Package and an award winning car Allowance / Car Scheme

One of the UK's largest privately owned house builders, renowned for their award-winning homes and reputation for quality, are currently in the market for an Assistant site manager.

For many decades my client has built houses to an excellent standard and always strive to achieve NHBC and LABC recognition. With a turnover exceeding £200m my client have established themselves as a huge player within the industry and are busier than ever.

You will help manage the build of a brand new phase of a traditional build development. The build consists 50 detached Traditional units in Cheshire. You will have a solid team of good quality tradespeople on site to support you.
You will be an ambitious and driven Assistant site manager and will take immense pride in the job. My client is looking for an individual who is eager to achieve NHBC awards as well as someone who takes pride in working for the company. Awards such as 'Pride in the Job', 'Seal of Excellence' and regional awards will be financially rewarded with £2,500.
In addition, my client will offer successful candidates an extremely rewarding salary in excess of £40k plus competitive package.

Package benefits Inc. yearly bonus (£10k for senior manager), company car or Market Leading car allowance plus fuel card, and pension (contributory).

The successful candidate will be able to manage the site effectively, offering effective problem solving solutions and able to find the perfect balance between delivering quantity and quality.

Your skills knowledge and experience required include but not limited to:

New build residential experience is essential for the role

Previous experience working for national house builders is preferable

Strong communication skills

Ability to motivate and support staff

Ability to liaise with internal and external personnel

Meeting deadlines



Attention to detail

Able to embrace training

Qualifications and training - essential

CSCS Card at Site Manager Level

Valid SMSTS certificate

Valid First Aid at Work certificate

Qualifications and training - desirable

NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar

Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate


Trade experience and site experience preferable

Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation

Special requirements

Current full UK driving licence
