Job Description

Local authority based in North Wales currently looking to recruit a Civils Clerk of Works to assist with a spike in workload on a temporary basis.

The workload will mainly consist of highways/civils maintenance work, but the candidate will be part of the externals team, monitoring onsite works and inspections for the environmental works team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working on highways and civils work. You must also have a civils or construction qualification. Some duties will be;

* Inspect contractor workmanship
* Ensure the contract works are properly executed
* Retain records of all relevant matters
* Liaise with tenants to ensure satisfaction
* Health and safety checks

Ideally experience working as a Civils Clerk of Works would be preferred, but my client will consider strong candidates with a good overall knowledge of the civils sector.

The salary is negotiable based on experience.
