Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Construction/Operations Director to lead a respected regional contractor in an exciting period of restructure and growth.
Currently turning over in excess of £40m they are one of the most well established modular build contractors in the North of England. Following an initial period of restructure they now seek an experienced individual to lead the operational team, in coordination with other function heads to ensure successful delivery of schemes with existing and new clients alike. With a growth plan to double turnover you will be a key member of the senior management team in making this achievable.

Customer services is at the forefront of the business's objectives and delivering a positive customer experience is essential.

You will be head of construction and manage the construction team to provide a quality product efficiently, safely and professionally; within set budgets and agreed timescales, ensuring highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Skills required;
Previously led at main contractor level and overseen projects in excess of £20m.
Superior management and organisational skills.
Leadership and accountability for project delivery.
The capacity to be influential and amenable.
Solid industry networks and relationships.

Key Responsibilities;
Reporting to the Managing Director
Working alongside other key departmental heads including Commercial and Technical Directors.
Overseeing multiple Contracts Managers and thus site teams below.
Producing monthly cost reports for all planned and current projects.
Monitoring existing projects to identify potential problems and provide commercially sound solutions.
Working with the project teams to ensure that projects are delivered in a profitable and timely manner.
Preparing, in conjunction with the MD and appropriate team members, project budgets.
Assist with preparation of the Company's Business Plan.
Resolving contractual and commercial problems.

The role attracts a highly negotiable salary which is dependant on experience and suitability to the role. The associated package includes company car or allowance, pension contributions, healthcare plan and further benefits.

This role is based in the East Midlands/South Yorkshire region but is to oversee national operations and schemes so some travel will be involved.
