Job Description

The Health & Safety Advisor role:
This is a fantastic construction Health & Safety Advisor position with one of the North West's most exciting construction, property management and fit-out businesses. From the word go, you'll be working alongside the Health & Safety Manager, and will have responsibility for audits, inspections and RAMS on fast paced fit-out projects and property maintenance - supporting site teams, management staff, driving the implementation and continuous improvement of a positive Health & Safety culture.

Based between the office and the various sites, you'll develop close relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders - driving Health & Safety with your knowledge and enthusiasm. You'll visit sites across the region to build rapport and trust with site operational teams - conducting risk assessments, method statements and site audits - and starting to influence behaviour and attitudes towards Health & Safety on site. In addition, you'll work closely with the Health & Safety Manager to develop over-arching policies and procedures, and support ongoing compliance across the varying facets of the business operation.

More about the business:
A well-established Regional Contractor (£30m turnover+) based in Manchester, specialising in high profile construction, fit-out, facilities management & property maintenance projects. They have a secure, full order book of varied work secured over the next few years, and are well-known for being an excellent company to work for.

Your skills and experience:
You'll hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate, and will have some demonstrable experience of operating in a Health & Safety Advisor (or Manager) role in a construction-related environment (e.g. social housing, construction, fit-out, FM). We are looking for someone who is keen on a challenge and is looking for a role in which they can develop themselves, along with use their experience to drive standards across multiple sites by building strong working relationships.

Salary, Remuneration & other benefits on offer:
Our client is willing to offer a salary and package above market rate to secure the right person; a salary of £35,000 (depending on experience) plus a £6k car allowance, healthcare, support for training, and other company benefits.
