Contract Manager (Civils)

Exciting Opportunities for Contract Manager in Cheshire, Salary £35,000- £60,000 (Dependant on Experience) Plus Car Allowance and Pension.
My client is a leading groundworks company based in the North West of England. Established in early 2000's. Covering; drainage, car parks, utilities, remediation, retaining walls and amongst others. Their clientele consists of a number of main house builders and contractors in the UK, working on a variety of schemes such as new build housing, schools, supermarkets hospitals, stadiums, commercial buildings and universities. My client has a client-focused strategy and is independently monitored for quality, service and competitiveness. The results are reflected in a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business.

The person we are looking for must be a competent, influential team player with common sense and a practical approach, coupled with a strong, proven contract/project management background within Civil Engineering

You must have the following:

Put together plans and estimates, including budgets and timescales
Prepare and present documents for tenders contribute to work planning, and brief project teams, contractors and suppliers
Supply information to resolve disputes if they arise
Identify areas for improvement in existing contracting processes
Prepare and submit management information reports to the senior management
Meet the organisation regulations and understand modern health and safety procedures
Lead and motivate teams and make sure that the team perform to the best of their ability.
Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs
Advising on a range of legal and contractual issues
Produce bill of quantities by interpreting drawings and specifications.
Prepare quotations for early warning notifications (Variations).
Overseeing contracts from preconstruction to completion, scheduling client meetings, planning and programming projects
Overseeing 4 or 5 projects at any one time, with site managers reporting back to you on a daily / weekly basis.

You will be expected to have:
Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in the construction industry
Recognised apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent training programme, qualifications are relevant to skill base (refer to trade description), relevant management training
Have an in-depth knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering, statuary regulations and compliance
Ensure that all quality processes are adhered to on-site together with ensuring that specific paperwork is returned to the office in an accurate and timely manner.
Effective engagement and supervision of subcontractors when required.
Responsible for all regulatory correspondence regarding HSE and other regulatory bodies.
Project reporting, monitoring costs and highlighting exceptions.
Computer literate

The Rewards:
A competitive salary between £35,000 - £60,000 and benefits package for the right candidate. To be considered for the above role as a Contracts Manager, candidates must a minimum of 8 year experience.
