Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to work on numerous residential new-build social housing projects in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire Region. 
My client are a leading regional contractor who are currently persuing a period of significant growth. Working under a divisional Senior Contracts Manager you will be overseeing a number of new build social housing projects in the region up to the value of £15m.

The Role;
Contracts Manager Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
Management of the site management team and to ensure all site operations are carried out safely and in accordance with plan and programme
Ensure all works carried out to required quality standards 
Create and maintain a culture of safe working. 
Maintain regular contact with sub-contractors to ensure works carried out on time and to quality standards 
Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are appropriate and in place in advance of the works 
Close Client and public services liaison
Attend and participate in meetings as required 

The Person;
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and skill sets:
Possess at least 5 years' experience within the residential sector at Contracts Manager level.
Demonstrate good technical knowledge of residential/construction activities 
Must have the following , in-date qualifications: CSCS, SMSTS, 1st Aid, NASC or CISRS (Scaffold Awareness)
An NHBC Award or Nomination would be an advantage. 
Possess a 'hands-on' and pro-active approach to problem solving 
Have good time management and organisational skills 
Able to demonstrate effective communication skills 
Able to motivate self and others
