Job Description

A leading, privately owned, construction company based in the North West are currently looking to appoint a Contracts Manager for their Small Works Division.

You will have overall responsibility for several new build, fit out and refurbishment projects throughout the North West up to the value of £2m. You will be managing the construction teams in delivering a professional service to time, safety, quality and cost ensuring clients expectations are met and performance targets achieved.

Duties will include:

* Managing project teams
* Assisting with the procurement of new contract work
* Producing project plans and setting programme targets
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
* Development and training of staff
* Produce all necessary internal and external reports and ensure all operations are being carried out in line with standard company policy and procedures

Suitable applicants will ideally have significant operational experience as a Contracts Manager working on projects up to £2m, however Projects Managers looking for that next step in their career will also be considered. An excellent team player with great communication skills is essential.

The company are offering a basic salary up to £50,000 plus company car or allowance, pension and healthcare. This is a great opportunity to work for an extremely busy contractor who have a strong order book of workload secured.
