Job Description

My client are a highly successful Regional Contractor based in the Lancashire area. They operate across a variety of sectors including Health, Education, Retail and Commercial delivering new build and refurbishment projects up to £10m. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Construction team.

The Role As a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing numerous projects at any one time throughout the North West.

Duties will include:

* Managing project teams
* Assisting with the procurement of new contract work
* Producing project plans and setting programme targets
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and project management teams
* Overseeing the selection of project sub-contractors
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
* Development and training of staff

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for the above role as Contracts Manager, applicants must have the following:

* Previous Contracts Management experience working for Main Contractors on new build and refurbishment projects
* Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
* Strong people management skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Analytical and time management skills
* Ability to plan and programme construction projects
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* IT literate
