Our client is a dynamic and progressive residential developer delivering new build, refurbishment and heritage schemes from small bespoke developments to volume build of 200 plus units. They are currently in a strong period of growth and looking to recruit for a Contracts Manager to join this ambitious, dynamic and innovative business.
Objectives as Contracts Manager
·Overall responsibility for the management of multiple sites in the North West (Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire)
·To ensure each contract is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required standard of quality
·To encourage, mentor, and coach the management teams
·Commercial awareness of contracts to maximise profitability
Key Deliverables as Contracts Manager
·Acting as the first point of contact for the contract operations team to offer support and advice
·Ensuring compliance with all aspects of both Health & Safety Legislation and internal H&S Management System
·Managing your team; setting objectives and developing people within it
·Managing effective meetings; pre-start, hand-over meetings, sub-contractor progress, contract progress, internal team meetings as required
·Applying a leadership style which is in line with the overall culture and values of the business
·Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients
·Managing finance and budgets in conjunction with the Commercial team.
·Managing performance, team conflict and communication issues where necessary.
Required Personal Qualities
·Held a similar or equivalent position previously on similar construction projects.
·Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislations.
·Experience of successfully completing residential developments.
·Excellent organisational and project management skills.
·High level of commercial understanding and excellent negotiation skills.
·A clear track record of successfully managing project teams.
