Building Careers UK is currently looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager Small Works for a permanent opportunity in the North West region. 
An award winning contractor with offices throughout the UK who specialise in new build and refurbishment projects up to £15m, are currently recruiting for a Small Works Contracts Manager to join their North West office. The role will involve managing multiple projects up to £1.5m.

The role as Contracts Manager is vital to the organisation and you will be working closely with all departments. You will have overall responsibility for several construction projects reporting to the Construction Director. You will be managing the construction teams in delivering a professional service to time, safety, quality and cost ensuring clients expectations are met and performance targets achieved.

Duties will include:
*Managing project teams
*Assisting with the procurement of new contract work
*Producing project plans and setting programme targets
*Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
*Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained 
*Development and training of staff 
*Produce all necessary internal and external reports and ensure all operations are being carried out in line with standard company policy and procedures

Candidates need to have significant operational experience as a Contracts Manager working on projects up to £2m,along with a full understanding of the construction process from technical and managerial point of view. An excellent team player with great communication skills is essential.
