Our client is a leading building contractor operating nationwide and currently focussing on the building of affordable living properties across the UK. We are currently seeking a design co-ordinator (or design engineer) to join their Warrington based team.
This fantastic design co-ordinator role will involve:
Creating draft designs in AutoCAD and communicating these effectively to relevant internal and external parties
Providing timely, accurate working drawings and technical design packages to project teams, estimators and development teams
Establishing and maintaining relevant technical procedures
Working with Construction Directors to co-ordinate construction programmes and ensure work is done to plan
reviewing former uses of sites in question, and undertaking detailed ground modelling meetings to establish and communicate the build process
Attend site meetings on a regular basis to maintain a strong working relationship with management teams, operatives and external consultantsThe successful candidate will come from a background working with a principal contractor in the building and construction sector. You will hold a relevant design or tehcnician qualification, and demonstrate significant experience of AutoCAD drawings, site communications and design roles int he construction industry. Experience of deliveirng to the code of sustainable homes is also highly desirable, as is experience of utility design (and procurement) requirements which is commensurate with working on affordbale living or residential projects.
The reward for succeeding in this fantastic role is an excellent salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on your current level and experience, as well as an exceptional benefits package.
