Design Manager

Job Description

Our client are an award winning construction and development company who have an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join their dynamic and progressive business and be involved with major and exciting new projects valued to £100m (predominately city centre mixed developments). You will be working in the North West office 3 days per week and spending 2 days onsite in London. Reporting directly to the Design Director your duties will be varied to include the following:

·Attending internal and external meetings including chairing and taking accurate minutes as necessary, ensuring distribution to relevant parties

·Reviewing design drawings in accordance with Building Regulations

·Reviewing design proposals from internal and external consultants ensuring most competitive and effective solution arrived at

·Supporting Procurement Department in evaluation of alternative design solutions offered by subcontractors

·Researching and developing new products for alternative forms of construction

Skills / Experience:

·Good knowledge of Building Regulations

·Basic knowledge of AutoCAD design software course and Adobe Acrobat

·Strong time management and communication skills

·Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
