Job Description

Our client is a privately owned construction group turning over circa £80m per year across traditional and design & build schemes valued from £1m - £15m including but not limited to multi-storey residential, commercial, retail and leisure.
They strive to provide excellent customer service whilst offering value for money which is evident due to the fact the vast majority of contracts are undertaken on a repeat business basis.

Furthermore both Directors and Senior Management champion a supportive culture which is displayed via its hands on involvement in all schemes.

The company have strategically grown turnover to a level which requires additional support, therefore, a requirement for an Engineering Manager has arisen.

Objectives as Engineering Manager;
* Overseeing Engineering Excellence across the region.
* Maintaining and developing engineering capabilities across the team.
* Support management team across multiple projects, throughout the region.
* Troubleshooting on engineering and management issues.
* Commercial awareness of contracts to maximise profitability.

Key Deliverables as Engineering Manager;
* Acting as the first point of contact for the engineering team throughout the region.
* Responsible for overseeing training and development of full engineering team, from junior to senior engineers.
* Responsible for the management, planning, programming & phasing of all engineering aspects.

This role could suit a Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager currently in a similar role with a regional or national main contractor. Alternatively you could be operating as an experienced Site/Senior Engineer with a main contractor and frustrated by the lack of opportunity for progression.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop into a role overseeing a wide engineering team throughout the region, with 'on the tools' capabilities and experience towards management without the transition to Site/Contracts Management without leaving behind your engineering expertise.

The role attracts a very negotiable salary depending on experience with a cap of circa £45,000 basic salary plus car allowance and full benefits package.
