Our client - Your New Business:

Our client is a renowned main contractor based in Chester/North Wales with construction operations across the UK. They are enjoying continued, sustainable success, operating in commercial, high-rise and education new build sectors; meaning a healthy set of projects to add to your Health & Safety CV. The diversity of work and project sectors will keep you busy and challenged.

The Environmental (and Quality) Manager role:

Based either in North Wales or Cheshire, this is a fantastic construction Environmental manager position with one of the North West's most exciting construction contractors. Liaising directly with the Environmental and Health & Safety director, you'll have responsibility for ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards, as well as including:

* Monitoring waste management
* Monitor environmental risk assessments and take control of the Environmental file for each project
* Ensure sites meet BREEAM requirements (including reporting energy usage)
* Educating staff and directors on best practice

Your skills and experience:

Suitably qualified (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or equivalent HNC/Diploma) with experience managing environmental impact in a fast paced environment, (ideally but not essentially in construction), you'll also be a strong communicator who is passionate about improving environmental performance. WAMITAB qualification is also essential (as you'll be overseeing the waste transfer station as part of your duties).

You'll also get exposure to a diverse business, which will include a significant contribution to the reviewing and improvement of the Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and management systems, giving you ownership of the progress in the coming years as the business continues to grow.

Salary, Remuneration & other benefits on offer:

Our client is willing to offer a salary and package above market rate to secure the right individual; a salary of between £30,000 and £40,000 (depending on experience) plus a car or allowance, and other company benefits.
