Job Description

I am currently working with a key client that is a market leading Civil Engineering contractor based in the North West who specialise in Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW). This position has been created due to the client winning a considerable amount of work which will be carried out for the next 2 years. The scope of works carried out includes design, construction and commissioning of assets and infrastructure on projects involving civil and MEICA.

In addition to their specialisation in the Waste Water Industry they also work on Landfill, Land Remediation, Flood Defence works and RC Frame projects. They undertake projects with values ranging from £1000 to £14,000,000 from a wide range of clients. 

The Role

The job opportunity is as General Foreman that will be involved in Heavy Civils and Pipeline packages. They are planning on expanding and require a competent General Foreman to run extra projects they have won and manage the health & safety of the groundworks teams.

You will be expected to:-

Work hands on with the Ground-workers and have a pro-active approach to assisting in the completion of the project.
Ensure the Ground-workers keep within the strict health & safety standards 

The ideal candidate will have progressed from Ground-worker to General Foreman and be able to handle the commercial and construction aspects. The client have also stressed they require the ideal candidate to have experience working and dealing with clients on a professional level.

Good IT skills required including MS Office & MS Project. 

Previous experience on similar projects is required along with relevant management qualifications such as SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work. 

This market leading Civil Engineering contractor is offering a competitive rate of £18 - £20PH.
