Job Description

The Health & Safety Advisor role:

A brand new expansion position with an industry-leading social housing refurbishment and maintenance contractor. Recognising that with significant growth comes increased risk to their valued members of staff across all operations, the business is proactively seeking a construction Health & Safety Advisor to join their exciting, growing operations across the Merseyside region.

Based in Merseyside, you'll be presiding over a number of refurbishment and property services contract works across the region, working closely with site teams and operational managers to ensure that risk to the staff and to the business is minimised, and the Health & Safety culture is promoted through all operations.

Your skills and experience:

Being at or working towards Grad IOSH status will be ideal, as will holding or working towards the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (NVQ Level 4, for example). You'll have experience in social housing, corporate or construction & property environments, looking after policies, procedures and risk assessments.

Audits, inspections, risk assessments and accident reporting are all fundamental parts of the role, but it doesn't stop there.
You'll have the opportunity to work with an exceptional Health & Safety Manager, who will offer you the training and support required to continue to develop your Health & Safety career. You'll also get exposure to a diverse business, which will include a significant contribution to the reviewing and improvement of the Health & Safety policies, procedures and management systems. It's a full 360-degree position, giving you the opportunity to balance hands on, site based Health & Safety with the development of the corporate Health & Safety strategy.

Salary, Remuneration & other benefits on offer:

Our client is willing to offer a salary and package above market rate to secure the right individual; a salary of up £31,000 - £33,000 plus flexitime, healthcare and mileage payments.

You'll also have a clear progression and development plan, working with an exceptional Health & Safety Manager who will support your own career progression.
