Job Description

The organisation works harmoniously with the Client and the Design & Construction Teams to ensure a successfully completed project, on time, to budget and in compliance with the Client's requirements. Core to our design approach is the use of sustainable energy and renewable whilst maintaining a cost effective solution. Covering a wide range of services- Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Incoming Utilities, Domestic Hot & Cold Water and BMS Systems

Sectors covered- Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Residential, Retail, Leisure and Education.

My client is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding office based in Liverpool.

Your duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

* You will be required to work on projects relating to Mechanical services
* You will be required to produce 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
* Liaising with other engineers and technicians is essential so you must have good communication skills
* Experience in the use of Revit MEP ESSENTIAL
* Experience in the use of AutoCAD ESSENTIAL
* Providing HVAC, plumbing design, drawings, specifications and construction review for a variety of building services
* Performing defined calculations and systems/equipment designs
* Conducting field surveys to assess existing conditions
* Preparing specifications and selection of proposed equipment and materials
* Writing reports and supporting documentation for project submissions
* Proposal writing

Candidate Specification:

* Relevant Qualifications such as Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Previous experience within a consultancy environment
* Up to date knowledge of current building regulations and relevant legislation applicable in building\infrastructure design environments
* Must have initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions
* Good verbal communication skills
* Experience using Hevacomp (or equivalent), Dialux, Amtech Power, AutoCAD and IES experience is beneficial however not essential

Salary:

Salary is negotiable Dependant on Experience
