Job Description

The organisation has grown rapidly to become one of the UK's top 30 M&E consultancies and have over 90 employees based in 7 offices nationwide. They are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to work in their North West office near Warrington.

Assisting in the overall preparation and submission of detailed design and co-ordination of Building Services solutions, including Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Gas, Utilities, Compressed Air and Plant Layouts.

Your duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

Relevant Qualifications such as ONC/HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Min of 5 year experience
Competent use of IES, Autocad and Hevacomp
Good knowledge and understanding of IES Thermal Modelling software
Previous experience within a consultancy environment
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Good Communication skills
Detail design
Assist in evaluation of options.
Prepare stage reports / outline designs.
Maintain comprehensive design file.
Produce CAD drawings.
Produce scheme design drawings for CAD.
Produce design sketches.
Liaise with suppliers to gain expert knowledge and costs.
Adopt flexible attitude to project and design.

Interpreting project requirements.

Project Strategy

Assisting with the preparation of the project plan at outset
Prepare project programme for design/pre-construction

Financial Management

Assist in the production of cost plans and pre-tender estimates
Produce cost comparisons for systems / plant
Demonstrate interest in financial matters
Sub-Contractor and Site Management
Assist problem solving process
Respond to RFIs, queries quickly
Respond to any changes quickly

MARKETING

Provide excellent customer service for repeat orders
Produce sketch designs for proposals
Understand our product, client's needs, wants and objectives. Intermediate Electrical Engineer 2

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Assist to develop continuous improvement culture
Provide ideas for continuous improvement of business
Attend CPD
