Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented, motivated and ambitious Operations Director to lead a well established Lancashire based contractor in an exciting period of restructure and growth.

My client is a specialist fit out and refurbishment company operating predominately within the North West of England turning over circa £20m per annum. Established over 30 years ago, they have built an enviable reputation of delivering a quality service, which has resulted in the majority of their work being secured through repeat business and framework agreements.

Working closely with the Managing Director, the Operations Director will be responsible for the overall management of both the Operational and Commercial teams to provide a quality product efficiently, safely and professionally; within set budgets and agreed timescales, ensuring highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Skills required;

* Experience of leading and managing Operational and Commercial teams from tender stage through to delivery of projects
* Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple fit out projects ideally within the Leisure/ Retail sectors
* Strong industry networks and relationships
* QS background is preferred, although not essential
* Experience of developing new business
* Knowledge of Contract Law
* Possess strong communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of personnel.



Key Responsibilities;

* Overseeing multiple Contracts from tender stage through to handover and completion.
* Producing monthly cost reports for all planned and current projects.
* Monitoring existing projects to identify potential problems and provide commercially sound solutions.
* Working with the project teams to ensure that projects are delivered in a profitable and timely manner.
* Preparing, in conjunction with the MD and appropriate team members, project budgets.
* Assist with preparation of the Company's Business Plan.
* Resolving contractual and commercial problems.
* Maintaining existing client relationships, as well as helping to develop new clients and further develop the business
* Ongoing development and training of all staff members

The role attracts a highly competitive salary up to £85,000. The associated package includes company car or allowance, bonus scheme, pension, health care and further benefits
