Job DescriptionOur client is a property development company based specialising in residential, commercial, student and other development opportunities across the UK. Our client has an exciting strategy for growth, through bringing together a wealth of expertise in all aspects of property development and investment, including sustainable construction and implementation of modern technologies.
This post, as part of the Senior Management Team and is key to the strategic operation of the business. It entails specific responsibilities in relation to coordinating contractors and key staff and effective delivery of projects. It has responsibility for ensuring that teams are well-structured and appropriately resourced for project delivery. The position demands a person capable of resolving challenging situations and negotiating positive outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1 To take a lead on programme and project planning, providing direction around delivery, process and capability within a commercial context. To ensure at all times that key stakeholders are aligned and understand the rationale for decisions
1 To plan project delivery ensuring that key performance indicators in relation to people, quality, finance, Health & Safety and performance are met
1 To ensure that the highest standards of Health & Safety compliance are met on every project
1 Also, to oversee quality control, snagging and project handover, maintaining effectiveness and efficiency at all times
1 To lead business planning for the operations team; ensuring that revenues are maximised and costs controlled, and that all resources are used effectively. Further, to ensure that these plans are coherent with any organisational business plans and that activity and performance information is set out as per reporting requirements
1 To demonstrate team leadership and build effective teams, to ensure that good systems of support and performance management are in place for these teams. This will be evidenced through the production of high quality and timely routine and ad-hoc reports
1 Work with the Commercial Director, the Finance Director, and other Directors to ensure a cohesive and efficient approach to the delivery of development projects
1 To develop relationships with partners and other stakeholders in the residential development market, with a view to encouraging long-term business opportunities for the company.
1 To work on operational or corporate projects outside of the day-to-day functioning of the operations team as may be required, ensuring that people and resources from across the business are effectively engaged for the benefit of the company as a whole
1 To support the work of the Board as directed by the Co-CEO
1 To participate pro-actively as a member of the Senior Management Team - supporting colleagues, contributing to strategic decision-making, and leading both operational managers and staff as required
1 To promote and develop the core business in relation to company sustainability and growth in all aspects of the role
1 To undertake any and all other duties as the business requires, in line with the responsibilities of the role, as may reasonably be requested from time to time
