Job Description

Working with one of the best respected contractors in the North West region, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a mixed-use scheme in Leeds. My client are a privately owned regional contractor, with a diverse selection of projects including education, healthcare, leisure, commercial, industrial, mixed-use accommodation, retail and housing.

They strive to provide excellent customer service whilst offering value for money which is evident due to the fact the vast majority of contracts are undertaken on a repeat business basis.

The company have strategically grown turnover to a level which requires additional support, therefore, a requirement for a Project Manager has arisen.



The Project;

This is with a view to recently being awarded the confirmation to proceed with a £20m mixed-use accommodation scheme in Leeds. The scheme comprises multiple tiers of RC Frame which at its highest point will reach 15 storeys. Due to the location in Leeds City Centre this will be a logistically challenging project and as such the Project Lead will be expected to have undertaken similar projects previously around a minimum £20m project value.



Key deliverables;

Responsible as No.1 on site and overseeing all operational and commercial aspects of project to see a final successful delivery of the project in question.

Responsible for the management, planning, programming & phasing of project.

Ensuring compliance with all aspects of both Health & Safety Legislation and internal H&S Management System

Involved with delivering project programme and phasing presentations to clients

Managing your team; setting objectives and developing people within it

Managing effective meetings; pre-start, hand-over meetings, sub-contractor progress, contract progress, internal team meetings as required

Applying a leadership style which is in line with the overall culture and values of the business

Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients including all sub-contractors on site and the client's project management team.

This role attracts a negotiable salary with an additional package of benefits including company car/allowance, pension contributions and healthcare scheme (after initial probation period).
