Job Description

A 100 million turnover business specialising in the Interior Fit-Out and Refurbishment sector. They predominantly work in the Commercial sector including offices CAT A and CAT B, however operate in a variety of other sectors including, Retail, Education and Health Care sectors with the majority secured through repeat business.

My client is looking for a motivated, well established QS to fit into an ever growing organisation with high aspirations. Successful candidates will be from a Commercial Interiors background and will be able to demonstrate previous experience, candidates without this background need not apply.

The ideal candidate will be located in the North West and commute to the Manchester area.

Successful candidate will have the desired criteria:-

* At least 4 year's experience working with a Main Contractor
* Commercial & Retail Experience Circa 70% - 30% split in the favour of Commercial
* Cat A & Cat B experience on projects between £2m & £6m
* Degree qualified
* A Team player and a Team builder with good communication skills
* Ability to manage numerous projects
* Qualities; Drive, Passion, Professionalism and Agile

Key Deliverables:

* Providing accurate, real time monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) which detail project commercial performance against agreed target costs.
* Controlling commercial activity of project. Including surveying, monitoring project progress, controlling costs and expenditure on projects in order to maximise income and cashflow
* Managing commercial and contractual arrangements associated with project and works, either directly or through team members
* Monitoring and assessing project progress on a monthly basis
* Initiate invoicing of customers for work completed in line with commercial and contractual arrangements in place.
* Price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for projects and project variances
* Resolve commercial and contractual disputes with the customer
* Manage and maximise cashflow to meet company standards and budgets
* Produce financial and management reports that monitor project progress
* Create and sustain a culture and working environment that drives satisfaction

Our client has a selection of projects throughout the North West and is looking to expand their team due to an increase in workload; however successful candidates will be willing to work away when required. This is a Permanent position which requires an experienced, commercially aware QS to join a contractor within the Commercial & Retail Fit-Out sector. They will offer a competitive Salary + Package.
