Quantity Surveyor - Frameworks / Maintenance

About Our client

A major contractor in the construction and Retail sectors and a growing order book going in to 2018.

Further to our continuing and on-going expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to manage and oversee a variety of projects, from low value maintenance works to new builds in up to £2 million.

Role Purpose

To manage roll out projects ensuring quality standards are not compromised and cost management is maintained.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepare tenders for works, including bills of quantities
* Negotiate contracts
* Ongoing cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
* Perform risk, value management and cost control
* Advise on legal, environmental and contractual requirements
* Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risk
* Ability to manage multiple projects
* Allocate work to subcontractors
* Sign off on works and ensure payments made

Skills and Experience


* Accredited qualification
* Good knowledge of construction
* Excellent financial management skills
* Excellent negotiator
* Project values up to £2m


* Relevant industry experience - retail, leisure sectors.
