About the Client:

Established for over 25 years this leading Lancashire Drylining Contractor are looking to add to their current team. They specialise within Residential and Commercial projects with values reaching upwards of £3M. They have an incredibly low staff turnover and have a young vibrant team so this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. The successful candidate will have experience within Drylining or Joinery in a similar Quantity Surveyor role.


About the Role:

* Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts
* Price and negotiate contract variations
* Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence
* Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts
* Project values range from £50Kto £3M
* Certification of monthly valuations and final accounts
* Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level
* Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets
* Site measures to be undertaken at least once a month and detail recorded on site measure sheets
* Able to work well within a team based environment
* To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales


About the Candidate:

* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales
* Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
* Must have experience within the Drylining sectors
* Must be able to understand tenders
* Have good practical organisation skills, planning of resources and programme scheduling
* Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities
* Prioritise and organise, taking a methodical approach
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a high standard of personal performance
* Flexible and reliable
* Ability to use own initiative
* Present information clearly, concisely and professionally
* Attention to detail
* Customer focused
* Communicator & motivator with ability to communicate across all levels of seniority from the workface through to Senior Management level
