Our client - Your New Business:

Our client is a renowned regional New Build Contractor operating across the North West, with an established and continuously growing office in the Manchester area. This £40m+ turnover client is an organisation with more than 50 years' experience, and as such they have developed long running relationships with several high profile developers and authorities across the residential, student accommodation and commercial sectors.

Their excellent reputation has been forged through the continuing delivery of exceptional projects valuing up to £15m across a variety of sectors. Managed by a dynamic and astute Managing Director, who contributes hugely to the practical running and operations of the business, this exceptional client have a reputation for looking after their staff, customers and suppliers.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based between the office in Cheshire and two or three different sites, taking responsibility for ensuring maximum value on your aspects of the job(s), all of which are across the residential, social housing, education and healthcare sectors.

Your duties and responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

* Maintain and report commercial information on live and future projects to the Managing Surveyor and other project stakeholders
* Procure and manage several subcontractor packages, and ensure they are dealt with fairly and in accordance with all contract paperwork
* Ensure payment applications are dealt with in a timely manner
* Build and maintain a strong working relationship with clients and suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring communication at all levels inside and outside the business is exemplary
* Supervise, mentor and encourage Assistant Quantity Surveyors in their personal professional development where appropriate, including ensuring

Your skills and experience required:

Qualified to degree level (for example, BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent), you'll be able to demonstrate commercial astuteness and an eye for maximising value on projects, helping to highlight to the business any potential money-making opportunities.

You will be comfortable demonstrating experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a new build or refurbishment environment, ideally with experience across (or a desire to take on) a number of projects at any one time. You will have experience in procuring and managing subcontractor packages, and be passionate about effectively contributing to enhancing profitability across the business' operations.

Salary, Remuneration & other benefits on offer:

Our client is willing to offer a salary and package above market rate to secure the right individual; a salary of up to £45,000 plus a car/car allowance and significant fringe benefits including a mobile phone, lap top, contributory pension and flexible working arrangements. The package will be negotiable depending on experience.
