Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a high calibre Site Manager to join a National Contractor based in the North West.

Due to the award of several new projects, my client are looking for a Site Manager who has successfully delivered projects up to £5m as a Number 1 Site Manager, ideally within the Health or Education Sectors.

The company have an enviable reputation of successfully delivering new build and refurbishment projects up to £30m with both public and private sector clients within the North West.

The role will involve either working as a Number 1 Site Manager on projects up to £6m or reporting into a Project Manager on larger projects. The first project will most likely be a Healthcare project in Manchester

The responsibilities of the Site Manager may include:

* Ensuring the construction works run to programme;
* Managing pre construction activities;
* Maintaining strict quality control procedures;
* Procurement and management of the supply chain;
* Leading regular site meetings
* Controlling prelims, and project budgets;
* Conducting regular site safety checks;
* Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems;
* Providing aftercare services to the customer;
* Implementing and maintaining Construction's Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety,

Experience required:

* Previous experience as a Number 1 Site Manager with a main contractor
* Site Engineer background is preferred but not essential
* Experience of project planning;
* Detailed knowledge of building regulations
* Professional qualification (desirable);
* SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS Managers Card
* IT literate;
* Experienced in using MS Project, and or Asta Power Project.They will also offer a salary up to £55,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package
