Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager (Top 10 National House Builder)

Location: Manchester

A Top 10 UK house builder are currently in the market for a Site Manager to manage their volume housing development in Manchester.

This rapidly expanding residential developer have been established for over 80 years and have revenues exceeding £1 billion. My client have established themselves an excellent reputation within the industry, building in excess of 1000 homes each year in the North West within the A* builders category with few reportable items.

My client also build extra care homes, schools, apartment blocks and homes for councils and housing associations however they are most dominant within the new build private specification sector and will be 76% open market developers by the end of 2017.

You will be joining a tight knit team who get on well during work hours but also enjoy socialising outside of work. Their great team ethos and low staff turnover speaks volumes about the company. My client is looking for an experienced site manager with previous experience working for volume private specification builders. In addition, you will be enthusiastic, receptive and open to new ideas. You will be confident in your ability as a site manager with a proven track record of few reportable items on the job. You will contribute towards the success of the business and help them maintain their excellent reputation as an A* builder.

My client is negotiable and will be competitive on basic salary for the right candidate. Package benefits Inc. discretionary yearly bonus, car or £5k car allowance, pension (contributory), healthcare and 25 days holiday per annum.

Your skills knowledge and experience required include but not limited to:



New build residential experience is essential for the role

Previous experience working for national house builders is preferable

Able to embrace training

Attention to detail

Flexible

Enthusiastic

Meeting deadlines

Ability to liaise with internal and external personnel

Ability to motivate and support staff

Strong communication skills

Qualifications and training - essential

Valid First Aid at Work certificate

Valid SMSTS certificate

CSCS Card at Site Manager Level

Qualifications and training - desirable

Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate

NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar

Experience

Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation

Trade experience and site experience preferable

Special requirements

Current full UK driving licence
