Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager with a strong track record of working on New Build Residential Developments. My client is a dynamic and forward thinking Contractor and Developer based in the Lancashire area.

Due to the expansion of the Development arm of the business and a number of new residential developments due on site in 2016 they are currently looking to strengthen their Management team with the addition of a highly experienced Site Manager. As a company they specialise in small to medium sized high quality developments of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes predominantly in the Lancashire area.

Duties of Site Manager will include:

* Manage subcontractors - ensuring safe and efficient working practices, with all trades co-ordinated.
* Manage the issue of construction issue information.
* Maintain accurate site records.
* Fulfil accountabilities within the Project Management Plan.
* Fulfil accountabilities within the Construction Phase Plan.
* Monitor progress against Contract Programme.
* Prepare and monitor short term programmes.
* Procure any necessary materials and plant, adhering to company order form system and procedure.
* Supervise direct labour.
* Attend contract review meetings and present site overhead costs.
* Monitor project costs with Project QS.
* Chair subcontract site meetings and produce meeting minutes.
* Manage correspondence.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with design team/client and supply chain.
* Promote company image.
* Assist with developing the tender programme into a construction programme.
* Protect company contractual position along with Project QS.
* Effective daily use of appropriate company information Systems and databases.
* Liaise with Sales team and customers to ensure the highest possible Customer Care

To qualify for this exciting role, Site Managers will have the following:

* Demonstrable experience of Managing New Build Housing sites through to completion
* Committed to delivering a Quality Product
* SMSTS
* Valid First Aid Certificate
* CSCS Managers Card
* Temporary Works Coordinator Qualification
