Building Careers UK are specialist in Construction & Property recruitment and currently looking to recruit a Site Manager who has a Contracting Residential new build back ground for a permanent job in the North West area.

They have a number of projects to start in Q1 of 2019 within the North West region a mixture of new build homes and apartments.

As a key member within the organisation your job and role as a Site Manager is vital to growth of the organisation.

You will be expected to carry out the following duties:-

* Daily management and co-ordination of trades, manufactures and plant
* Ensuring that all quality control, environmental and health and safety requirements are met
* Communicating information and advice to trades, senior management, third parties and regulatory bodies.
* Ensuring the accuracy of staff time sheets and ensuring payments were made to contractors in a timely fashion
* Chairing communication meetings with senior management, local residents, trades and suppliers.
* All aspects of project planning including accurately estimating material, construction and labour costs as well as project time scales
* Managing all aspects of health and safety compliance including: carrying out risk assessments, ensuring staff are fully compliant with H&S expectations and standards, inducting on site workers into site Health and safety procedures.
* Recommending ways of improving the use of staff, materials, equipment and other resources.
* Maintaining good working relationships with all service partners, clerk of works, inspectors, considerate constructor inspectors, colleagues and management.
* Proven problem solving abilities, able to identify, assess, evaluate and resolve complex issues Planning, organising, monitoring and where necessary, take corrective action on building projects.
* Excellent leadership skills and ability to build teams, resolve conflict, motivate and develop subordinates.
* Extensive knowledge of building legislation and regulations.

You will be highly motivated, driven and from a trade background with references from some of the leading contracting house builders . SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card are essential.
