Site Manager - modular housing

Job Description

Our client are a leading developer working across the UK on a variety of region regeneration and single project refurbishment schemes. They have an innovative and progressive way to build sustainable housing offering an alternative solution to building the traditional way. They are currently delivering in the region of 150 homes per year. Due to exciting new growth plans they are looking to increase productivity and have recently acquired a new onsite factory in Yorkshire which will deliver around 200 modular new built homes per year. They have future growth plans to build over 500 by 2020.

They now require a Site Manager to oversee a scheme in Birmingham; the delivery of 50 new homes by modular production.

Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of this key construction project, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget. You will co-ordinate sub-contractor packages and liaise with consultants to ensure works on site are to specification and of consistent quality.

You will manage sub-contractors and labourers effectively in executing all construction activity.

Candidates must therefore be able to demonstrate an understanding of the planning, construction and quality issues that arise in such projects.

This role also involves ensuring health and safety legislation is adhered to on site.

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience at Site Manager level, delivering construction projects of up to £5m in value.

You will hold the following relevant qualifications;
- Degree in Construction Project Management (desirable)
- CSCS card
- SMSTS
- First Aid

This is a permanent staff-based role with an attractive basic salary of up to £50,000 + full benefits package.
