Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager (New build social housing)

Location: Manchester

An emerging and rapidly growing building contractor specialising in the delivery of small (up to 25 plot) social housing developments are seeking a number one site manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The business' new build housing division turns over in excess of £20m and they are quickly becoming a dominant force within the new build social housing marketplace. With offices in Manchester, the sites across Manchester, Widnes and Warrington have been secured on the back of an excellent reputation for delivery of high quality social housing product. It's an exciting time to join them; they are growing rapidly and have secured further work for a number of providers across the region, filling their order book for the next 18 months minimum.

This specific position will begin managing a brand new affordable/social housing development in Manchester, consisting of 20 homes. The project will last a minimum of 12 months (after which you'll move on to another scheme). We are looking for an experienced site manager with previous work experience on new build social housing (or private residential) projects. In addition, my client are looking for someone who is confident in taking projects from start through to completion, and someone who is dynamic and keen to grow with the company.

The salary is £40,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance for the successful candidate.

We are looking for an experienced, capable and confident candidate with a current SMSTS and First Aid Certificate as a minimum, and someone who has a demonstrable record in delivering new build housing projects. The ideal candidate will also hold a CSCS card (black or platinum), scaffold inspection and an NVQ5 or similar (HNC etc.).

Your skills, knowledge and experience required include but not limited to:

* New build residential / social housing experience is essential for the role
* Ability to motivate and support staff
* Ability to liaise with internal and external personnel / contractors
* Meeting deadlines
* Attention to detail and knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
* Able to embrace training



Qualifications and training - essential

CSCS Card at Site Manager Level

Valid SMSTS certificate

Valid First Aid at Work certificate
