Job Description

My client is an exceptional, multi-disciplinary contractor operating in social housing, retail, commercial and healthcare sectors providing maintenance, refurbishment and new build solutions across the UK.

The role: Strategic Business Development Manager:

This is a newly created position, designed to complement the existing national and regional teams but to work autonomously with the freedom to create new business relationships across the region.

* Identify and develop tender business opportunities for the refurbishment, maintenance and fit-out division, working with new and existing clients at senior level
* These clients will be main contractors, property developers, commercial / domestic landlords, NHS trusts, education establishments
* Developing repeat business to maximise growth
* Travel around the UK to meet with senior management professionals within prospective client businesses, as well as conduct comprehensive after sales service

The role will give you the flexibility to manage your own diary, and will offer the opportunity to really make your mark in a pivotal role in this established but growing business.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience in a business development role will be essential; you'll come with a demonstrable record of developing new business, ideally from a building, contracting or fit-out environment. You'll have a focus on targets and goals, and concentrate on month-end / quarter-end reporting and goal setting.

Comfortable working with people, keeping customer satisfaction high and going the extra mile to uncover, develop and maximise opportunities will be at the top of your skill set. You'll also have contacts at senior/top level within some clients, businesses or organisations of interest.

Salary and Remuneration:

The salary will be highly competitive - the client is willing to pay above market rate to attract the right person for the role. You'll be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £50,000, plus a company car (Audi A4 style), 10% bonus, BUPA and excellent pension scheme.
