Job Description

Our client is one of the Top 5 Major Contractors in the Interior Fit-Out and Refurbishment sector. They work in a variety of sectors including commercial, banking and finance, public and community, retail and leisure sectors.

With a proactive approach to project management and problem solving, their success can be attributed to continued investment in training, equipment and quality of workmanship along with the commitment to effectively manage projects to an on time delivery, within budget.

They are currently in the market for a Technology Operations Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for both the successful installation and the effective implementation of technology within projects under their control, ensuring these projects are completed to the satisfaction of their manager and client. They will own, develop and safeguard all supplier and client relationships within their remit.

Communications

The Project Manager will take full ownership and be the proactive front leader on all communication required to engage, inform and include all parties involved in their project process.

The Project Manager will own a technology project from its inception to technology absolute completion and as such will survey, scope and create the technology elements of POW and Branch checklist, then monitor, control and manage delivery of the project. This will involve:

Pre start co- ordination and tracking

The Project Manager is responsible for:

1 Technology programme of work creation and control
2 A link in to construction installation related programme of works
3 NCR pre staging and commissioning arrangements
4 Security considerations with particular focus on White Swans
5 G4S/ Brinks/IBM considerations including Cencon and BAU handovers
6 ATM Operations requirements
7 Service Line Support arrangements
8 Project team and Client communications including both branch and front-line support

Completion of go live

This would involve the Project Manager ensuring each of these suppliers have what they need when they arrive and receive advise and decisions where they encounter challenges.

As such they will be the:

1 Construction Installation Team advisor on technology requirements and challenges
2 Technology Provider advisor on technology requirements and challenges
3 Direct owner of the branch relationship, implementation completion and communication
4 Direct owner of ATM operations communication and downtime records

Ongoing Process Development

The Project Manager will be actively involved in process development and process reviews with a view to continual improvement. This will involve but not be limited to specific development projects being allocated as deemed appropriate by the Technology Operations Manager that are outside of the Project Managers day to day role.

Key Performance Indicators (Linked to Business Objectives)

Customer Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) 80% Target

Stakeholder Experience Questionnaire (SEQ) 80% Target

Planned Operational Readiness (OR) vs Actual OR 85% Target

Cost Variation between budget & actual by location < 5%

NB the KPI process is currently under review by the client representatives. It is expected that these will be also be based around the current SLD CEQ process.

Person Specification

Key skills and experience will include:

1 Prince 2 Project Management qualification (preferred).
2 Experience of implementing Business Change in Retail environments.
3 Experience specifically of technology change within business and the successful planning and implementation of the same.
4 A familiarity with the construction delivery process from design through to completion.
5 CSCS accreditation(limited only- yellow)
6 Asbestos UKATA Awareness (limited only- 1 day)
7 Experience of working with demanding private sector customers, in fast paced environments is essential. Being willing and able to travel extensively including working away, weekends and night-shifts.
8 Proven experience of managing teams and suppliers including experience of chairing and management of meetings.
9 Be able to demonstrate effective leadership and motivational skills whilst also being a team builder with the ability to coach and develop.

1 Prince 2 Project Management or APM Certified
2 CSCS - Yellow
3 Asbestos UKATA - Awareness Certificate
