Job Description
Building Careers are working as the exclusive recruitment partner for Alpha as they look to appoint a Head of Asset Management to join their senior leadership team.Salary : £55,000 Per Annum
The Client

The Role
Responsible for: Compliance Co-ordinator, Maintenance Co-ordinator, Handyperson team
Responsible to: Chief Executive
The role of Asset Manager will encompass elements of Asset Management, Strategic Direction, Compliance, Contracts and Repairs. The successful candidate will develop an overall approach to strategic asset management which is consistent with the organisation's wider strategic direction and ambition.
As a member of the Senior Management Team you will support the Chief Executive in the development of policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for setting a framework for statutory compliance and provide assurance that strategies and delivery programmes are in place for fire safety, water safety, electrical safety, asbestos, HHSRS and gas safety
The role include the management of contractors and repairs staff ensuring contractors are procured in accordance with financial regulations and standing orders and perform to agreed quality criteria and also that the Handypersons team is performing to that same criteria.
The Successful Candidate
You will have experience of working in the housing industry as an Asset professional at both strategic and operational levels, and have experience of managing budgets, financial cost modelling and life cycle costings. You will also have detailed knowledge of the UK and EU frameworks relating to compliance and contract management and an understanding of the issues currently facing the housing sector.
