Job Description

Our client is one of the UK's leading construction and development companies with a history of delivering large scale projects including Student Accommodation, Hotels and PRS schemes with values ranging from £20-£100m. They currently have a requirement for an Assistant Design Manager who has experience of high rise, mixed use developments to join their team.

About the role - Assistant Design Manager

* Assisting with the management of the design process from inception to completion of the works, ensuring that the design meets the employer's criteria, that the design is coordinated and delivered to meet the time and budgetary constraints of the design and the construction process giving due regard to cost in use and life cycle costing and buildability issues.

What you'll be doing

* Based at our site in Wembley, with travel to other sites and offices across the country when required you'll be involved with assisting design proposals from internal and external consultants ensuring the most competitive and effective solution is arrived at, while supporting the Procurement Department in evaluation of alternative design solutions offered by subcontractors. You'll also be reviewing payments with the commercial team to ensure that payments to consultants are done correctly reflect the work undertaken or reports or design information has been produced in line with the payment schedules.
