Assistant Design Manager

Job Description

Our client are one of the UK's leading construction and development companies with a history of delivering large scale projects including Student Accommodation, Hotels and PRS schemes with values ranging from £20-£100m+ They currently have a requirement for a Project Manager who has experience of high rise, mixed-use developments to join their team.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

* Requiring education/ qualifications to a level of NVQ 3, 'A' Level, HNC, or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Good knowledge of AUTOCAD
* Good knowledge of computers including Excel, Word, Asta Project
* Good communication skills and patience
* Strong time management



Main Duties



* Assist in ensuring drainage and roads are
* Assist in co-ordinating the design of Build to Rent Schemes.
* Coordinate and manage site team's technical
* Assist in resolving site queries on technical
* Ensure that accurate design information is sent to
* Assist in monitoring and reviewing engineering design.
* Attend and minute/Take notes for site meetings/workshops and issue to relevant
* Assist in providing accurate information on time to facilitate subcontract
* Assist in ensuring that both building regulation, warranty and planning issues are dealt with
* Ensure that technical information in the office is up to date and uploaded to 4 Projects.
* Ensure information management systems are being used
* Maintain accurate
* Produce and revise drawings as and when
* Ensure drawing information is available to allow procurement to calculate materials and quantities required for
* Other relevant tasks as
* Visit site, as and when required, to suit the demands of the scheme.
* Assist in reviewing design with an aim to provide best value.
* Assist in ensuring that preconstruction design works are accurate and reflect the needs of site.

Salary £28-32k + car / allowance of £4,2620
