Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salford; £90m Iconic Project

Our client is currently seeking an Assistant or QS to join their established team within the North West office.

The vacancies have arisen due to numerous project wins and a very strong order book going forward. As Assistant or Quantity Surveyor you will report to the Commercial Director, and will be site based working on prestigious project in Salford worth £90m.

You will be self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic who can manage, or quickly grow to manage prestigious projects.

The position will ideally suit someone with 1 - 4 years' experience who is looking to widen their experience and establish themselves within a leading contractor. Our client will consider day release applicants as well as fully qualified QS as there are a number of opportunities at present.

Key requirements/responsibilities:

* Working knowledge of JCT Suite and Building Contracts 2011
* Pricing variations
* Cost value reconciliations
* Attending Pre contract meetings
* Preparing and managing Sub Contract packages
* Prepare and agree monthly valuations
* Prepare bills of quantity

Salary will be negotiable dep. experience and you will receive an excellent package inclusive of car, pension, healthcare, bonuses.

It is vital that applicants have a strong construction background and experience working for a main contractor would be a distinct advantage.
