Job Description

Building Careers UK are specialist in Construction & Property recruitment we are currently looking to recruit a Permanent Assistant Site Manager Northwest.

Our client are one of the largest privately owned Construction companies, who work both in the private and public sectors working on commercial, education, industrial, accommodation, health, retail, and mixed leisure with values ranging from £15million to £50million.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager on a scheme in Merseyside.

As An Assistant Site Manager, you will be established and confident in an Assistant Site Manager role.

Daily duties

* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all site activities to ensure successful project outcome.
* Maintain accurate and current site records in line with Company and legislative requirements.
* Ensure company HSQE standards, operating processes policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented, and always adhered to.
* Monitor the quality of work to ensure standards are consistently achieved and address any issues with the sub-contractors and trades
* To always safeguard the Company's contractual position, ensuring contract terms are understood and adhered to.
* Consult with the Commercial team to monitor the financial status of the project, identify solutions to problems and improvements and organise activity to deliver these.
* Safeguard the Company's financial position and report variations to the commercial team.
* Assist the Site Manager in managing prelim costs within budget.
* To facilitate the effective close out of projects and to ensure snagging process is carried out effectively
* Identify potential issues which will affect successful project delivery and take necessary action to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.

Key Skills, Experience & Attributes

Previous Site experience
Up to date relevant knowledge of building and Health and Safety legislation
Team commitment

Demonstrates a good eye for detail and commitment to delivery excellent standards
Excellent organisational skills
Effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines
Professional attitude and approach to work

Demonstrable sound technical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and other construction information.

Qualifications SMSTS CSCS, First Aid.

Annual Salary - £28,000 - £35,000 + car allowance
