Job Description

A well established Manchester based contractor are recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager that will either manage their own small projects or work with a Site Manager on larger projects. Projects are mainly in the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors and range in value from £100k to £6m.

Reporting into a Contracts Manager you will assist with the day to day running of the site, managing the construction process safely, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.

Assistant Site Manager Duties will include:

* Supervise and effectively manage all subcontractors on Site
* Inducting all attendees to site on a daily basis
* Ensure company HSQE standards are implemented and adhered to
* Maintain accurate site records
* Monitor projects to ensure they have the correct resources to be completed on time and to the required standard
* Monitor the performance of the workforce on a regular basis and provide training and support where necessary
* Establish and maintain relationships with clients
* Programming/communicating with sub-contractors and keeping astride of the overall works programme to ensure deadlines are kept to and early warnings are identified and actioned.



You will ideally be from a trade background with experience of managing groundworks packages. Experience of working on Industrial new build projects is also desirable. You will also be customer focused, results driven and Health & Safety conscious. A valid SMSTS certificate, First Aid certificate and CSCS Managers Card are all essential requirements. Whilst most of the projects are North West based, you may be occasionally required to work away.
