Assistant Technical Coordinator

Job Description

My client are a privately owned regional housing developer. They're renowned for delivering high quality housing developments for private sale throughout Greater Manchester.

Owing to a vast increase in work won, in additional to their live projects, they're now looking to add an Assistant Technical Coordinator to their in-house technical team.

The role principally will be to work alongside the Technical Coordinator to review drawings, prepared by the design consultants, ensuring they meet relevant standards and carry out approvals of these to then supply to relevant Site Management and their teams.
They are looking for someone to be involved in providing information to discharge warranty providers and building control conditions.
The role will also see you responsible for following through adoption processes for S104, S38, S278 etc in conjunction with the construction teams.

My client are looking for an individual competent in their knowledge of building regulations and LABC new home warranty standards.

To be considered you should have;

* good operating knowledge of the development and technical design process around new build housing and residential developments.
* proven knowledge of detailed design for residential schemes, utilising different forms of construction including light weight steel frame, traditional steel frame, timber frame and traditional masonry.
* Have ability & confidence to question and query design information across disciplines.
* Have a solid understanding of statutory requirements, including building regulations and LABC warranty standards.
* Experience of and ability to understand and interrogate design and project programmes.
* Be educated to a degree level or have relevant professional qualification.
* Ability to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
