Our client is a privately owned regional contractor with an annual turnover of £20m+ across various sectors including education, health, commercial and industrial.
They are looking to appoint a Head of Construction / Construction Director to take responsible for the operational delivery of its projects within the Northwest with values ranging £50k - £5m. Management responsibility will include 3 Contract Managers/site teams.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

* You will have a hands-on approach whilst working closely with fellow directors and commercial team throughout the tender stage.
* Overall responsibility for project delivery of all construction schemes
* Selection of site teams and offering support to carry out their duties thus ensuring projects are delivered on programme within budget and safely.
* Working closely with clients and design consultants by attending as many meetings as possible
* Assist in carrying out value engineering to the schemes to ensuring best practice is achieved to meet client's budgets and to maximise profits without compromising quality.
* Holding regular CVR meeting involving all the site team, helps site managers understand the cash position of each contract and makes them aware that they are also responsible for spending on sites.
* Carrying out internal audits, setting timetables for CVRs
* Identifying risks and opportunities throughout the construction phase of each scheme
