Contracts Manager

Job Description

My client are a well- established Main Contractor based in the Warrington area. Due to further expansion within the business they are currently looking to appoint an additional Contracts Manager to oversee projects throughout the North West region. Reporting into an Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing 3 to 4 projects ranging from 500k to £6m. The projects will include a mixture of New Build, Fit out, Refurbishment and Design and Build across the following sectors Health, Industrial, Commercial, Leisure, Listed Buildings and Retail.

Duties will include:

* Managing project teams
* Assisting with the procurement of new contract work
* Producing both tender and project plans and setting programme targets
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and project management teams
* Overseeing the selection of project sub-contractors
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
* Development and training of staff

To be considered for the above role as Contracts Manager, applicants must have the following:

* Previous Contracts Management experience working for Main Contractors on new build and refurbishment projects across a wide range of sectors
* Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
* Strong people management skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Analytical and time management skills
* Ability to plan and programme construction projects
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* IT literate
