Contracts Manager

Job Description

My client are a long established Fit Out Contractor based in Manchester, who specialise in the delivery of fit out and refurbishment projects for a range of blue chip and high profile clients, predominantly within the Retail and Leisure sectors.

Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee between 3-5 projects throughout the UK.

Role and responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility and accountability for assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered to budget and programme.
* Undertake site surveys
* Preconstruction set up of projects including the co-ordination of consultants and suppliers
* Produce the detailed site Programme of works
* Confirm sub-contract appointment with the commercial team
* Undertake regular site visits
* Weekly and projected labour management & allocation
* Weekly reporting against programme, quality and cost
* Quality control
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
* Development and training of staff

Experience required:
* Experience of successfully delivering fit out projects at Contracts Manager level is essential.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Happy to travel throughout the UK when required
* Possess strong communication skills and be fully IT literate.
