Contracts Manager (Painting)

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painting Contracts Manager to join an extremely busy Painting Contractor, for work throughout the North West region.

Our client have over 25 years of experience supplying commercial, industrial, domestic and specialist painting services in the region. Due to a vast increase in work won during this strong time in the construction industry, they have a requirement to add an experienced Contracts Manager to their management team.

You will oversee several live projects throughout the region at any one time, working to ensure optimum client satisfaction and help the continuation of repeat work this company prides itself of.

Duties will include:

* Overall management and responsibility of site supervisors and operatives on site for the paining and finishing side of the company.
* Directing supervisors ensuring standards of work are met and productivity is kept to programme
* Creating project programmes and finishing schedules to meet deadlines
* Resourcing and co-ordinating labour
* Ordering and keeping records of materials and labour
* Attendance at site meetings
* Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements and ensuring all site workers are adhering to written procedures
* Ensuring all instructions for extra works are received in writing before commencement
* Overseeing the completion of day work sheets and that they are completed correctly then authorising for payment
* Providing weekly status reports to Director

Required Skills:

* Experience and knowledge of managing multiple commercial painting contracts
* Knowledge and implementing risk assessments and method statements to ensure good safety ethos on site
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* CSCS card essential
