Job Description

Our client is a privately owned construction group turning over circa £80m per year across traditional and design & build schemes valued from £1m - £15m including but not limited to multi-storey residential, commercial, retail and leisure.
They strive to provide excellent customer service whilst offering value for money which is evident due to the fact the vast majority of contracts are undertaken on a repeat business basis.
With over 150 employees the company have a stable workforce who embrace the ambitious, dynamic and innovative principles that the company has always thrived on. Furthermore both Directors and Senior Management champion a supportive culture which is displayed via its hands on involvement in all schemes.

The company have strategically grown turnover to a level which requires additional support, therefore, a requirement for a Contracts Manager has arisen.

Objectives as Contracts Manager
*Support the company's overall vision by embracing its values
*Overall responsibility for the management of a circa 4-5 of contracts
*To ensure each contract is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required standard of quality
*To encourage, mentor, and coach the management teams (Project, Site and Supervisors)
*To develop effective working relationships with clients and consultants
*Commercial awareness of contracts to maximise profitability

Key Deliverables as Contracts Manager
*Acting as the first point of contact for the contract operations team to offer support and advice
*Responsible for the management, planning, programming & phasing of all projects
*Ensuring compliance with all aspects of both Health & Safety Legislation and internal H&S Management System
*Deliver project programme and phasing presentations to clients
*Managing your team; setting objectives and developing people within it
*Managing effective meetings; pre-start, hand-over meetings, sub-contractor progress, contract progress, internal team meetings as required
*Applying a leadership style which is in line with the overall culture and values of the business
*Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients
*Managing finance and budgets in conjunction with the Commercial team.
*Managing performance, team conflict and communication issues where necessary.
