Job Description
Working with a family owned specialist contractor, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager.Our client are a long standing and well respected Joinery Contractor, based in the North West. They operate throughout the region and given their longevity in the region they have a number of long-standing relationships with repeat clients and often work on frameworks which provide security of future works. Sectors in which they operate include education, local authority, housing and general commercial, working as both a main contractor and specialist sub-contractor.
Due to an increase in work recently, they have a requirement to add a Contracts Manager to their senior management team. Working alongside two existing Contracts Managers they require an experienced individual to share workload of projects and assist in scheduling and structuring of works.
The suitable candidate will come from a similar sized organisation and have particular experience with writing RAMS and construction phase plans.
Responsibilities include (but will not be limited to;
Commercial:
Assisting with project valuations and applications for payment (tracking progress of work etc)
Assessing work completed on site and ensuring correct sign offs are in place
Keeping a track of extra works
Site Management:
Supporting Site Managers/Foreman as required
Attending progress and programme meetings
Procurement:
Scheduling materials for ordering, in line with programme
Working with procurement team to source necessary materials
Technical:
Reviewing drawings for construction and raising queries with Technical teams
Assisting procurement team with technical queries
Tenders:
Assisting with the tendering of new projects
Candidate requirements:
Solid carpentry and joinery background
Experience in contract management of site projects
Excellent client rapport & general communications skills
CSCS, SMSTS (desirable), First Aid (desirable)
