Job Description

A large Building Contractor with an excellent reputation in the North West, are currently looking to appoint a Design Coordinator. The role will be based between the office and site and you will be responsible for the management of design related issues at both preconstruction and the Construction Stages of individual projects. You will be responsible for auditing and assessing design information before and during construction and ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements. You will manage and coordinate external consultants in their day-to-day duties related to design, coordination and technical aspects of production information and to ensure delivery within the constraints of time, quality, budget and technical requirements.

Experience and Qualifications required:



* HND/Degree level in a construction/design related subject
* Previous experience working as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator for a Main Contractor is desirable
* Previous experience on a broad range of projects including Residential, Commercial, Education and Industrial
* Strong technical knowledge in the construction of complex building types
* Knowledge of current design, planning legislation and compliance issues.
* Design & Build experience is desirable
* Flexibility to travel to sites throughout the North West
